Six layers · One spine

From the keypad
to the boardroom.

Each layer is independently replaceable. Each one writes to the ledger in the same format. The whole stack ships as Secure Labs Systems — but you can adopt it one layer at a time.

i

Hardware & the threshold

Gate keypads, ID readers, and optional photo capture at the gate via the guard's device. Specified for African power, weather and bandwidth — with offline-tolerant gate behaviour for when the link drops.

COREMULTI-GATEPHOTO ID
ii

Identity & the directory

Residents, household members, recurring staff, guards, enterprise tenants and visitors. One identity model — with a household concept that matches how Kenyan property actually works.

RESIDENTIALRECURRINGTENANTS
iii

Capture & consent

Visitor arrivals, pre-approvals, deliveries, events, emergencies — captured at source, with documented purpose and a 90-day retention default for visitor PII.

iv

The ledger

Append-only audit log, immutable, queryable. Every event keyed to a person, a reason, an hour. The single source of truth that the rest of the platform reads from.

v

Surfaces — for each actor

Resident app (iOS & Android), guard app (Android), manager portal (web), tenant-admin console. Same record, multiple reading angles — each surface optimised for its actor's job.

vi

Exports — board, bank, owner

Monthly board pack, occupancy reports, guard performance, DPA disclosure pack. Exported as PDF or JSON — built to be handed over without further explanation.

What it actually does

Capabilities, in plain English.

Visitor & arrivals

Pre-approved entries.

Residents code a guest's arrival in advance. The gate validates the QR, captures the visitor and writes the event to the ledger — no paper register.

Recurring access

Staff who come every day.

Domestic staff, gardeners, drivers, contractors — registered to a household, approved at HQ, badged at the gate every shift. Expires when the contract does.

Emergencies

Escalation that doesn't go missing.

One button at the gate. Routes to the right person, the first time. Photo, GPS, category — captured with the alert and stamped to the audit log.

Levy & payments V1.1

Service charge, settled.

Per-unit invoices on M-Pesa rails, late-fee policy, AGM-grade collection reporting. Held back to V1.1 while the ledger hardens.

Board reporting

The pack writes itself.

Each month, a PDF pack — occupancy, peak times, gate exceptions, guard performance, incidents — emailed to the committee on the same day, every time.

Multi-property

One pane, many gates.

For developers and security companies running portfolios — one console, every site, comparable KPIs. The institutional view.

Common questions

Before you ask.

Can we keep our existing gate hardware?+
Usually, yes. The platform is hardware-agnostic at the gate-controller layer, and onboarding includes a hardware assessment. Common keypad and access-control vendors are supported; camera and number-plate-recognition integrations are on the roadmap.
Does it work when the connection drops?+
Yes. The gate is offline-tolerant — pre-approved codes validate locally and the events sync to the audit ledger once the connection returns. Core access control is never blocked by a network or external-API failure.
How do you stop records being tampered with?+
The audit log is append-only, enforced at the database level — there is no path for a guard, an admin, or Secure Labs to edit or delete an access event. Every entry is attributed to the person who made it, and each property's data is isolated and encrypted.
